About Me

Hi! I’m Qitong Gao, a PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Duke University under the supervision of Prof. Miroslav Pajic. Prior to this, I obtained Master’s Degree from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Duke University under the supervision of Prof. Michael M. Zavlanos. My interested research field is Reinforcement Learning, Time-Series Analyses and Computer Vision, and their applications in Healthcare, Automated Image Analysis, Robotics and Cyber-Physical Systems. Working on topics related to Artificial Intelligence can always get myself excited and motivated!

Outside of academic, I’d like to participate in some social innovation/consulting program for improving the society around us. I also enjoy traveling around the world because I believe that is the best way to experience different culture and to broaden my horizon. I had been to Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Greece, Japan, Korea, Thailand…
